It All Begins HereHeart Series:
Central to my work is the Hearts Series, which reflects on my own journey and that of NHS staff during and after COVID-19. Using the anatomical heart as a recurring motif, the work moves from disruption to repair and acceptance — encouraging quiet connection and thoughtful reflection. The Beating Through collection continues this exploration, responding to the lasting emotional and physical impact of COVID-19 on the body and the self. I am honoured that works from this series have been selected for exhibitions by Handmade Britain, the Royal Society of Medicine and Hampstead School of Art, alongside presentations in independent galleries such Palette and Frame and The Gallery at the Playroom. Please email if you would like to commission a piece similar to those shown.
Porcelain and paper-clay heart with porcelain flower sculptured sprigs (additions). This work explores the heart not as a fixed object, but as a living record of experience - shaped by rupture, care, and renewal over time.

Porcelain and paper-clay hearts present one heart in two states—injury and repair, held within a continuous process of healing. Sutures, porcelain flower sprigs, copper wire and glass trace rupture, care and renewal across the surface. Rather than before-and-after, the work proposes continuity: a single heart evolving over time, holding loss and recovery simultaneously.

Heart of a Mother: Held Until Ready Porcelain heart with a small infant nestled within, held as a mother would. Handwritten text (original poem by the artist) traces love, care and eventual separation across the surface. The work reflects the bond between mother and child: holding, protecting and letting go, where connection remains, evolving over time.
